M+ Stories is the bilingual online storytelling platform of M+, a new museum of contemporary visual culture based in Hong Kong. Our museum building, designed by Herzog & de Meuron with TFP Farrells and Ove Arup & Partners HK, is currently under construction in the West Kowloon Cultural District. For now, we are a museum with a temporary venue, the M+ Pavilion.
Just like the M+ building, M+ Stories is a work in progress. We are committed to the work of opening up access to our museum and created this website to share who we are, what we do, and what we will become as we move closer towards our building’s opening. This also means opening up access for you to explore the M+ Collections through the M+ Collections Beta website.
M+ is a new museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Located in Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, M+ is one of the largest museum projects under construction in the world, and is poised to be one of the world’s leading cultural institutions.
In the meantime, we have lots to share with you via M+ Stories.
