M+ Stories is the bilingual online storytelling platform of M+, a new museum of contemporary visual culture based in Hong Kong. Our museum building, designed by Herzog & de Meuron with TFP Farrells and Ove Arup & Partners HK, is currently under construction in the West Kowloon Cultural District.
Just like the M+ building, M+ Stories is a work in progress. We created this website to give online visitors like you more access to M+, sharing stories and ideas that matter to us as we build our young institution. You’ll find blog posts 📖 about anything and everything related to the museum; videos 📺 featuring artists and objects from the M+ Collections; interactive 👐 online exhibitions and digital artworks; and an online journal 📚 with scholarly insights on contemporary visual culture.
With M+ Stories, you’ll be able to journey along with us as we move closer towards our building’s opening, sharing who we are, what we do, and what we will become.

M+ is a new museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Located in Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, M+ is one of the largest museum projects under construction in the world, and is poised to be one of the world’s leading cultural institutions.
For now, we are a museum with a temporary venue—the M+ Pavilion. In 2019, our completed building will join Hong Kong's skyline.
In the meantime, we have lots to share with you via M+ Stories.
